Vestas Renovation Adds a Touch of Green to PDX

The renovation of this 83-year-old building will be one of the largest LEED platinum historic renovations in the country

The Daily Journal of Commerce provides an in-depth look at the work being done to renovate the former Meier & Frank warehouse in Portland, Oregon’s Pearl District. When the project is complete, this 83-year-old building will be one of the largest LEED Platinum historic renovations in the country.

Sue Vorenberg writes, “When renovation work for Vestas American Wind Technology wraps up at the former Meier & Frank warehouse in the Pearl District, the exterior will look much like it did when the building opened in 1928. The interior, though, will be filled with energy-saving, high-tech green features that could help the building qualify for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design platinum certification.”
