BOB GERDING NAMED HONORED CITIZEN

Bob Gerding, retired founding principal of Gerding Edlen Development, was recently named 2006 Honored Citizen by the Architecture Foundation of Oregon. AFO Honored Citizens are selected based on their contributions—professional, artistic, educational and/or philanthropic—to Oregon’s built environment. Architect Robert Frasca, philanthropist Jean Vollum, urban naturalist Mike Houck and artist Ed Carpenter are past recipients of the award. A dinner will be held in Gerding’s honor on October 10.
