Inspired Student Housing in 12 Months
Pacific University approached us with a student housing project that other developers might have avoided. But we recognized a challenge. The project needed to be completed in only 12 months, and the financing hadn't yet been arranged. We worked with the university to find a way to finance the project in a short period of time and defined a project budget and schedule that would accommodate their needs. A student committee with resident staff was involved in the design and decision-making.
Pacific University’s Student housing serves sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are seeking greater independence and privacy in their residential experience. Suite configurations include single bedrooms sharing a kitchen and living space. The building has a very contemporary look and feel and an attractive, aesthetic design that is innovative, yet fits the traditional character of the campus. Pacific’s student housing is technically sophisticated, featuring wireless and Internet wiring. Students enjoy light-filled conference areas, classrooms and communal spaces with reception areas.
This is the first student housing project west of the Mississippi to achieve a LEED Gold designation.
