10,000 Sq. Ft. Renovation Preserves Past

The renovation of the 90 year-old Jim Stevens Armory Autoworks to become home to a new pub for Deschutes Brewery required a delicate balancing act to preserve the past while upgrading for today’s needs. Deschutes wanted to bring as much of the atmosphere and regional flavor of their successful Bend, Oregon location to this new brewery and pub, which meant a rustic interior paired with today’s brewing technology. The 10,000 square foot historic renovation offers open airy spaces, well-lit giant windows and 20-foot ceilings supported—Northwest-style—by giant timbers.
